to get hyped up for LC!

After two days of fun,
we were all ready for the LC.

The time with them, hearing from them,
and getting prayed by them
is really priceless.


We were also touched by how the
Hongkong people hosted us..
They tirelessly traveled with us around,
(you know how troublesome/kiasu Singaporeans
shop, yeah?^^)
wanted to fight to pay for our food..

Thank God for them!

It's really ONE BIG FAMILY!

First off..

Keith:
"One thing i got from tLC was that we don't serve God out
of emptiness.
Through the people in LC, i really saw how important
our personal relationship with God is.
When we truly love God, persecutions
and problems are nothing to us.
Thus, winning our schools and singapore is going to be easy.
That is why the world can be won.
We can all play a part in winning the world for God-
by loving Him."


Jingwen:

"Hello!! Presenting to all of you the ultra cute Jingwennnnn!
Hahaha ok anyway firstly I really like to thank God for giving me this special opportunity to go for this LC in Hong Kong! God reassured me that he have brought me to this LC for a reason.
I think through this LC one thing is, God very much reminded me of my relationship with him. Through all the Pastor’s and fellow Yhope’s sharing, I’ve realized how important is the relationship with Him and this struck me so hard. What keeps us going on in this long race is really our relationship with Him. Having a strong one, we do not need to depend on the happenings, depend on the situations or depend on other things for joy! Lets work towards a closer relationship with God yeah? I'm just so into it and I can’t wait for the days awaiting for me because I’ll walk this walk with God much differently, with a wider vision, bigger dream for God. The Great Commission belongs to US and though we are young, I believe God can still use us if we allow Him to! I’ve been refreshed, I’ve changed and I thank God I’ve God!

A simple heart and a simple faith will do! "

Isaac Shane:
"Well, it would be impossible for me to tell you everything i have learnt or expeienced through this LC all at one go, but i would just share with you guys one key concept i have grasped from this Conference, that is your relationship with God, must be put above all other things.
As a leader, i have been pushing my people to do CG08 all this time, and i have neglected their spiritual health and walk with God.
I always had this wrong concept of our walk with God, that is mainly daily prayer and reading the Word of God. Through this LC, I have learnt that our relationship with God, is not purely based on us praying to him about ministry all the time, or praying for skills like courage or wisdom. These things are merely tools used to serve God. I had been reading the word of God, having a perspective that it is speaking to me about ministry and that alone. All this time, my caregroup has been stuck in an eternal cycle, an endless torture of failures after failures. Our relationship with God was not right!
I have come to realize that an ideal relationship with God is not just about doing prayer and reading the Word of God or even applying what we have learnt. An ideal relationship with God is to pray and seek him everyday, turning to him not only when we face troubles and really treating him as your friend, not your superman. God has sent Jesus to die for us, in the first place, to help us achieve a relationship with God.
Man can be connected to God because Jesus had died not only to cleanse our sins, but also for us to have a living relationship with God, our creator. I have come to realize that no matter how much effort you put into ministry but the moment your peoples' relationship with God isn't right, we lose the first piority in christian life, that is because God cares about us, not what we do. As we grow in our relationship with God, we will love God and his people, giving way to endless victories in Christ.
The Conference has opened up a way and solution to a problem that has never been revealed to me for a long time, and it has strengthened my faith and wisdom in christ. It has revealed my purpose and destiny for Christ. It is seeing and talking to the people so passionate for Christ and the people just willing to leave their families and just die for Christ that has really impacted me and showed me what true christianity is. I have come back with a renewed conviction and insight, something money could never buy. Do go for LC when you have the chance!"


Zyann:
"As Cls, we need to make active decisions. We need to be active in sharing
the gospel. It ain't a special service thing but evangelism is a
lifestyle.
If talking to strangers ain't your culture then you gotta BREAK IT!
We must not let culture determine what we do.
Almost everyone don't share the gospel
because of fear.
However, the fearful you ain't the REAL you.
God didn't create us to be fearful but to be victorious in all that
we do."


Isaac Weijun:
"One thing that I've learn through this conference is regarding the bigger picture of the great commission, whereby my relationship with God and
I'm doing today contributes greatly to it. Constantly outreaching and making disciples is something that I caught greatly,
of which it should be something that I'll strongly apply in regard to the great commission. This saying of "Think Globally, Act Locally" should really be evident in our daily lives.
God can use all of us! No matter how smart we are, where we come from, we're just a vessel whereby God can anoint.
It all starts with our own schools and it starts now."

Winnie:
"I learnt that the GREAT commission must must MUST begin
with a heart of compassion, love and burden. That'll be
the real thing that sustain us through the race.
It doesn't matter who we are but just believe,cause what matters
is who God is! :-)"


Dawn Suwanie:
"The spirit of the Great Commission.
That it is greater than Singapore because God loves all people,
even thosei have not seen before!
The Great Commission is just so amazing, so..WOW!
It's God's vision for the world&it should be ours too."

Bridget:
"This LC just really blew me away!
There were tonnes i learnt, the HOLY Spirit
was dwelling not only in our presence but in every single one of our hearts,
and the yearning for everyone to live for GOD faithfully
was so evident!
One thing i brought back home was the importance OF
and HOW essential it is to have a good and intimate relationship
with God as well as having a heart
filled with nothing but love!
It is only with this that we can keep ourselves motivated
and fired up to serve His people!
And this love we possess is not just privileged to us, but to
all on this earth.
And that means it's not just ur CG, but to anyone you see on the
train, in the bus, and on the streets, of EVERY race!
So dun be selfish with God's love, don't discriminate, spread it ALL!
Rise them up and send them back to their country to win the world!
YOU have a part to play in the GreatCommission!
Starting from now!
2nd to that, i really learnt the power of a simple heart, with pure faith.
Because that's what i see in all the international pastors..
nothing zai nor bombastic but just a simple heart for the LORD!
For it's not the power of man that allows him to live a powerful life,
but a simple heart available for God's service that allows God's power to
be revealed through Him!
So HEY! Stop complicating stuffs, and start serving God with love,
faith, and a simple heart!;)"

"It was another mind-blowing trip for me!
Whenever i had a chat with any of the internationals,
i just felt so at home..
and i always tell the HK people "We're ONE BIG FAMILY.."
Because we're all sharing the same vision and mission
for ONE JESUS.
There's really no place like this..
where we're so intenationally supported by one another!
Wherever country we go in the future, there bound to be
HOPE FAMILY hosting us..
Amazing!

I was reminded so much about
having a simple faith in Jesus..
To Trust and obey and follow God..
We don't need to worry or fear..
cuz we have Jesus.
If we really obey, i mean REALLY...
We'll live our lifes differently for sure.
Relationship with GOd!

That's something i learn from what almost every pastor
shared..
