EGGCITE!

EGGCITE PICTURES ARE UP! (:

On last Saturday, 11 April 2009, Central gathered at West Coast Park for a time of eggcitement and eggciting fun!!!! (:

In celebration of easter, the games comm decided that EGGS should be the entire theme of the event. And therefore... We had many station games that got to do with eggs!

We had captain's ball w the egg as the ball,
Balancing-the-egg-on-a-spoon relay,
Chocolate+egg game (if you're lucky you get to eat some egg!~),
Soaking sponges with eggs and squeezing it out again,
Climbing our way up the west coast park tower thingy to retrieve the egg,
and the final, war game!!!

That was the only one that doesnt have to do with egg haha.

Each of the stations were super disgusting because of the eggsss, but i'm sure everyone had fun all in all (:

But but but, it started raining halfway while we were playing the war game,
so everyone had to evacuate to the nearby stage (?!) for shelter.

There were other people on the stage as well, haha but we managed to dominate almost the entire stage ^^
The power of central hahaha.

So anyway, everyone started getting rather restless and moody due to the heavy rain,
so Zach and a few others decided to start this game show:

Central's Got Talent!!!

People were volunteered from each unit to represent their unit and display their talents (:

Xanthe was first - She was supposed to follow the dance moves Joel and Desmond were doing haha.

And she refuses to do anything related to dance cos she claims she cant dance!!

But in the end, she tried and she managed to follow one of desmond's moves! Hahhaa.

HAHA the final signature pose!!!!

They were singing "We will, we will rock you!"
and after a few times, the thunder snapped at them hahaha.

Because he's been working out rather often nowadays, he was requested to flaunt and show off his fruit of his hardwork!!

And we started to pack our stuff to leave (:

All in all, it was a good day with lotsa fun in the sun ^^ with all your good friends around you as well (:
Central will go through rain or shine together, & on that day, we really did!!

Hahah the planning team and food comm were awesome too as they managed to plan well and carried it out well despite hiccups here and there (:

The dancers have been working extremely hard trying to sharpen our moves and have been through many times of evaluation and re-evalution,
just to make the whole performance the most pleasurable sight to watch,
making sure that everything is done to the UTMOST BEST that we can.
(we train till 10pm+ almost every training, it's tiring I tell you haha)

But even so, I feel that after each 'training' session I'll go home with joy inside despite the tiredness. (like now, I just came back from practice :D )

So I really believe that this dance will be a blast!

A story of a man named 'Joke'
There once lived a man named 'Joke'. However, contrary to his name, he was not a very funny man, neither a happy man. All his life he lived without a smile on his face, despite seeing the many radiant smiles on the faces on the people who lived in that town.
One unfortunate day, Joke was diagnosed with a funny illness no doctor could give a theoretical analysis pertaining to the problem. Days grew by and Joke got weaker and weaker for every passing day. Until one funny day, one mentally retarded friend of Joke went to visit him at the hospital. After chatting with Joke for some time, the friend blurted out the funniest (as in weirdest) comment in history, "Since Joke is down with a funny disease, why not let's make him laugh! Because when it's funny, we should laugh!" and he closes off with a hearty laughter. Soon every one around in the room found the comment retardedly funny, so they laughed, too. Joke, who was physically weak, managed a weak smile :) But as the laughter in the room grew louder and heartier, Joke could not help but laugh for the contagion of the men's laughter was great. Eventually, the whole room was filled with a laughter so loud that even the whole hospital was heard to be in laughter too. Then miraculously, Joke was healed! This is why they say 'laughter is the best medicine.'
After being healed, Joke was no longer a sad man. He went around town telling jokes and joking with the people, like how I am joking about this story. :)

Central C did a mini song presentation for her, There You'll Be - Faith Hill.

Lets pray that our heart condition will be one thats ready to recieve the vision that God has for us together as CENTRAL. Matthew 13:4-9

A Principled World Changer - Daniel Liang (Part II)

We decided to surprise Daniel once again by turning up for his departure at the airport. So in order not to be late for his flight, we decided to stayover at the airport. And at the same time, chiong christmas cards! Since we had nothing else to do and Christmas was nearing :)

We stayed at Macdonalds for the entire night. And after a few hours, we started to get a little sleepy...

We tried to play a little bit once in awhile to keep ourselves awake :)

Haha this was random.. Anyway, after awhile, most of us gave up and decided to just hang around and talk :) Then some of us played UNO!

We played catching for awhile and then finally went back to rest hahaha. I'm not sure about the rest but we had fun! And it was time for breakfast!! So we got breakfast and then one of the guys called up Daniel and it was time to go!

All of us got to spend the last 1 hour with Daniel giving him our regards and best wishes over in L.A. Let the pictures do the talking!

We got a huge banner for him that says: CENTRAL D LOVES U DANIEL!

Yeap, that's all! And indeed, Central will remember Daniel. We will be waiting for more testimonies about your life in L.A.! Jiayou!

A principled world changer - Daniel Liang

Hey everyone! As all of you know.. Daniel Liang left for L.A. this morning which is in USA(The highlighted region in the world map)

So as a really loving unit we planned a dinner/surprise for him on Saturday! We had really good zhi char in the evening and then we attempted to sing Kiss Goodbye by Wang Lee Hom!! Ok anyway, so we couldn't really memorize the lyrics and since he was the chinese expert.... we got him to sing!

So after singing he gave a short speech..

The SJI guys got a ring for each of themselves and it says "Our God". They decided on a ring because they wanted to get something that he could carry with him all the time and to remember them while he's away. They had a covenant to serve God together.

Anyway, i'm here to thank you for being in my life. Looking back, it was a joke that we took the same bus to school everyday for 3 years not knowing each other. Well, God played punk on us by making us shepherd and sheep. However, i know very well that i didn't shepherd you to my best even till today. And i thank you, thank you for being able to grow on your own despite my laziness as a shepherd.

Remember what i mentioned to you about finding favor in God's eyes? To me, your life has definitely done so. Thanks for voicing out your opinions on the group problems and challenging mine. If not for you, SJI would not have advanced and i would not have grown. Truly, it is evident that you invested your life in building this SJI group. You've led by loving and also shown us how to love. As i looked upon the eyes of Ze Jie and Kiok Yew at the airport, i know that these kids really love you. But why? Because you did what Jesus did by loving them first. Even Joel Soong looks up to you more than me. I thank you for injecting love into the caregroup. I thank you for proving to me that this group can be won over - by love. Like many times that i've told you, you're perhaps my closest rival in terms of spiritual stature. I don't see you as my sheep anymore, you're now one of the few that i look up to. Keep advancing.

Putting ministry aside, i cherish this friendship of ours alot. This brotherhood was forged unknowingly, and it will last surely. I know this is nothing compared to your sec2 class but, i hope that you've enjoyed being in this "W gang" of ours. The mugging sessions, overnights, soccer matches and table soccer. Honestly, i didn't know i'd miss them so much until today as i recall those times. And so Taiwan, don't lose our ring if not we'll show you some "love" when you're back.

Anyway America is going to be tough, i know you know it. When i was at the departure hall today, thoughts were invading and I feared for your life in America. I know you fear too. But remember always, you're there for a big purpose for this move is a big one given by a big God. Your family situation is going to be a burden for you but don't let it hinder you. Instead, take it to be the reason why you need God even more in America. Love your dad, love for God loved. I know your emotions tell you otherwise but hey, remember what i once told you? Great men control their emotions. Also, i know that you're worried about your family. But if this is God's plan, He will protect them. Let this trip be your BMT. Let this trip be one that is worth remembering. Let this trip be that testimony you will share.

Lastly i wanna say(on central blog), shuai ge wo ai ni. Haha, you should know why i said this. :D

1. Completion of 15 Schools by end of this year... Its just 4 weeks left...

Lets keep all our new believers in prayer that they will go to camp too.

2. This is the last week of the Central Sports Month. Lets make it count.

3. Spiritual hunger.

Word for Life is this week and we want to make sure that we learn the most out of this few days that we are committing to WFL. Since we're already there, lets make the most out of it.

Ricwan's 19th Birthday

On the 23rd November 2008, we, the MIB, which consisted of Agent BB, Z, A, JA, W, X and D celebrated Agent Ricwan's 19th Birthday!

Before we returned to the headquarters, Agent Ricwan had to complete a series of tasks before he could be promoted to Agent Ric.

This was the blissful day that he went through!

Task 1: Bask underground, with the guitar, for 19 minutes.

It's gonna be a lonely, lonely, lonely day.

We were hoping for some kind soul to donate some coins but.

No one was in sight.

"Just me and my guitar. Tune out the world."

The longest 19 minutes of his life.

Task 2: Take a picture with something that represents 19.

Task 4: Pluck 19 hair from different parts of your body (e.g. leg, hair, and you know where etc), throw them into the river and shout, "HUAT AH!"

Then I flicked it off to the side of the river and it bloomed into a purple tree.

A time set apart to pray

Here's the time of the day where we set aside to pray and seek God in a few areas. So for this monday, as we fast lets pray together for the following.

1. Completion of 15 Schools by end of this year... Sounds very far but in actual fact its 5 weeks left.

2. Central Sports month to be a success where many will come and have fun together with us. Weather will be conducive for our sports too.

Central Sports Day!

It's been a week since we started our various sports event. So here's an update on one of the days! (Friday, 21 Nov, Badminton & Floorball!)

It was a girls event, but there was a mini miscommunication for the venue for guys, so we had a few guys joining us too haha.

So, we started off with badminton cos the floorball sticks were not here yet..

Oh yes, Daniel popped by to visit us too! Haha.

Then when the floorball sticks came, a few (literally) of us went to play floorball!
Everyone was so tired from badminton that they didn't want to move.

So we ended up playing with 7 people for a start. It was the most tiring one ever!!!!

After 6pm, we had to leave the courts.
So they went to play basketball after that.

Now the netballers show their power. Haha.

Weili the shooting pro. Haha really. She just grabs the ball, turns & shoots.
It's like she has eyes at the back of her head or smth cos she's really accurate too.

Haha Renting didn't know how to play so she was just standing around. Hahah.
Renting was asking Weili, "Why I cannot shoot?"
Before this, she tried to shoot before clearing a few times, and everyone was like "Cannot shoot!"
So she just passes the ball away everytime. Hahah thus... She became a sad kid.

That day was a very funfilled day!
Everyone was playing and exercising like there's no tomorrow, and everyone got hot and sweaty! (not to mention the smell)

But all in all, everyone had fun and made new friends (:
Haha, when do you ever get to play with so many people who are fun like this?

Seldom.. Right? (esp since it's holidays now, people would rather stay at home than get out and sweaty!)

So we really gotta thank God for all those who took the time to come down all the way to Redhill for this event, and also, to all those who brought visitors!

w/o anyone of these people, the atmosphere would be so dead.

Therefore, we are proud to announce that there were a total of 21 people who turned up! God has also graciously blessed us with 5 visitors!
(beat that!)

Haha really, keep asking your friends, especially those who love sports!

For the next FOUR more sessions of Central Games, let's not waste this platform for inviting new friends.

We shall see more and more people playing the next few sessions!

Because fun is contagious, and people contribute to the contagious fun.
So bring more people = more fun = more contagious = more fun = more people!

CLM with Peter Truong

After the evax, all the CLs gathered back at America Room at 5pm for CLM with Peter Truong as well.

He asked us about our short period of evaxing and we shared about how it went for all of us and our groups.

Some of us had very responsive contacts that we exchanged numbers with, some had very few because there weren’t many youth’s around to begin with!
But even in that scenario, they went on to evax to the stall tenders, the working population, youths who just passed the youth stage, all sorts!
And from that bunch, they had quite a few responsive ones too! :D
Some went solo, some went in a group, but I’m sure all of us have learnt something from this mini exercise yeah?

After that sharing, we had a short time of worship and then we had the special privilege of having Peter Truong to pray for us individually. We all got prophesied upon by Peter, Daniel and the ULs.

I think it spoke to many of us; about our lives, our future, our goals and dreams etc. Really, it can range from anything to everything! But most importantly, they’re for God. We were really excited about prophesies, cos I’m sure everyone would love to have someone prophesy over them, right?

Yeah! We were all patiently waiting to get onto the blue chairs and suddenly all the focus seems to be on you. Everyone starts speaking in tongues for you and praying just for you (:
It was truly a special advantage that’s very much appreciated.

When every single one of the CLs were prayed for, all of us in turn prayed for Daniel!
He deserved a big pat (please do, when you see him) on the back cause he prayed for ALL of us, (ULs and CLs) continuosly without any breaks.
His brain worked hard (:

We could really tell that prophesying was no joke, cos after that long time of hardcore praying, all of us became really stone and cui after that. But hey! We enjoyed it as much as it was energy-consuming (: Haha we probably need more stamina praying though.

All in all,
Central thanks PETER TRUONG for taking the time to come down to teach us about evangelism, for taking the time to stay back and pray for the CLs (he still went evax with adults after teaching us) and for being so enthusiastic as well!! (We have to admit, we were quite silent at times…)

And for all those who were there, I’m sure everyone has learnt something specific to apply in your evangelizing today.
Keep going and going and going and going and going and going and going!!

Everyday Evangelism by Peter Truong

We had a very special guest joining us today!! Haha and he is none other than Peter Truong! So for all of you who were not able to make it, here's a glimpse of what happened...

The meeting started off with a short video clip on how people from Australia evangelized..

We were all given a set of notes to guide us through the entire day..

We practiced sharing and praying for each other so that we could get the hang of it :)

Peter shared many things like the Bridge diagram and the diagram of a Self-centered life vs. a God-centered life which was really useful for us :)

He cracked jokes occasionally and the crowed started bursting into laughter, look at their faces :)

He also acted out a scene on how it would be like sharing with someone and included some tips too.

Then we were done with theory...

Off for practical!!

We split up into different venues and groups and started reaching out to people using the useful techniques taught by Peter..

Starting off with a prayer before our actual evaxing (:

Peter has definitely taught us a lot today! I'm sure all the pointers and tips were really useful in helping us evangelize more effectively. And we really want to affirm him for coming all the way down just to share with us about evangelism :) Thank God for him :)

I learned a lot from the meeting today and felt that it was very helpful for me. It was also very interesting and helped me to learn more about how to share the gospel and made me want to share the good news even more! When we went to evax, it was a great experience and we managed to get some contacts and some of them were quite responsive which was good :) It was quite scary talking to strangers at first but after a while, we knew that God was with us so there was no reason to be scared and everything so yeah. I also thought that there was insufficient time for us to evax as we had to stop after a while but we felt really happy as we shared the good news to some people and we are one step closer to reaching our goal!

1. Time is of the essence
Peter Truong: Do you know what the people are waiting for?
Me (to myself): The bus?
Peter Truong: The people are waiting for us to share with them about the good news, the Gospel.

It struck hard because this is precisely the reason why we even talk about evangelism and outreach. Without people, who or what else needs us so badly? If we’ve ever complained that time is never enough, then time is really running out for people to receive salvation!!! With every minute we spend doing nothing (like stoning and slacking) we could use it to sow a seed in someone. Or give some water to a seed that has already been sown. Every effort counts.

2. Exercising of faith in action
Prayer is really a powerful weapon. Exercising of faith comes with being led fully by the spirit. Which means also keeping in step with God’s Holy Spirit, most directly through prayer. Prayer can work wonders because the power is supplied by God, through us, to people. Hence when speaking with strangers, even in fear, God will lead us to be the most impactful and tactful in our speech. Anyway, doing God’s work without involving God is doing nothing really.
Pray also for God to grow the seed which you have sown.

3. Outreach in knowing the value of your salvation, then others’
Evangelism is a connective work. Notice the chain in how the good news is being passed on from person to person: your friend’s friend > your friend > you > your friend > your friend’s friend and the list goes on. God changed your friend so that God may change you because he/she has shared with you, then God may move to change someone else’s life by your sharing of God with him/her. Evangelism must not stop!

4. Stay connected
After a sharing with a stranger, whether or not she converts or was responsive, exchanging contacts would be great. There is a channel in which you can still reach the person, thus hope for salvation to happen.

5. God is good!!!
How can we ever keep it within ourselves if God is really so good, right? ;) Out of the abundance of God’s everything in our lives, everything flows!

I learned to evangelize and to outreach to many others who do not know Christ yet. It has really helped me to overcome my fears and to have confidence in God when we are out there. It has also taught me how to connect to others and to build a closer relationship with them, inviting them to our services and to give them a chance to experience God’s love. There may be many objections or challenges that we will face but I know that God is always there with us and to persevere on with Him.

I learnt about how could we really evax on people not only people that we see in our schools but actually other people schools and on the streets. I feel that today's lesson was a good lesson as although my unit is a pioneering group but we did not use some of the tactics that Peter showed us like the Chair Diagram was the first time which I have seen for my whole life even though I'm pioneering.

I think that the Chair Diagram is something good to share with people out there who really needs God because they would understand those diagrams better than what we say just from our minds and mouth. Therefore I think diagrams that Peter taught was a good thing to help us to continue evaxing for our 15 schools.

In the beginning, Renting and I were rejected by people a number of times.
The people we shared to were mostly shopkeepers, some of them were willing to listen but some were not.

I observed and listened to how Renting shared, and after a while, I decided to try on my own.

When I saw a group of students coming out from Gramophone, I ran towards them and entered the lift with them.
I was quite nervous as I was alone and the students were much older than me.
I was rejected by them but I still continued on.
After that Renting and I saw this girl sitting alone so we went up to her, she was very friendly and open which made it easy to talk to her.
She explained about her Christian life.

She told us that she stop going for church because she has to work on the weekends so she doesn't really have time for church.
She also wanted to bring her brother which is 14 years old but was afraid that her brother will be noisy and will disrupt the service.

She gave us her contact number so that we could contact her again. I felt happy because we finally had 1 contact after so many rejections but I felt really great after getting the result of working hard.

I feel that evaxing is not really that hard if you know that you want to work towards your goal to fulfilling the great commission.
I was scared at the beginning but now I have overcome my fear.
The purpose of evaxing is to let the people out there to know about God, and let them know how God loves them.

Hello! My name is Chloe and I am from Central B. Today I attended the harvesters meet and I felt really refreshed by all the insights given and have also
gotten rid my fears of evangelism because I've realized that evangelism isn't that hard after all! (:
it taught me how to evangelize more effectively with all the points mentioned.
it is really detailed and catered in a way that its simple and what many people would understand.
Now that I've known all the tips and skills to evangelize, i am more convicted of why am i doing what i am doing!

Last Saturday i was involved in handling a situation about a new believer that we had by the name of Guo Chang from Catholic High Secondary thats now under parental objection because the dad does not allow him to join Christianity. We must not give up on him because he really matters to God.

People are important to God and we really need God to protect the new believers big time because every single life won over to the kingdom of light MUST NOT go back to the kingdom of darkness. They have crossed the line so lets keep it that way..

Today as we fast, lets pray for two things:

1. New Believers to be strong in God when they undergo a bit of objections or face a bit of obstacles in their faith

2.Follow uppers to be faithful to their call. The new believers are their babies and they have to go the extra mile to take care of these babies.

Here are a few testimonies from our own people in the midst of exams:

yoz.. heard that i could share some stuff here. so i think i shall share what god has done for me during this prelim 3. hope that it'll be an encouragement. i was studying for my bio exams the night before, and bio exams were the next day. and i didn't have a clear understanding of the subject. and i had barely a clue about the last few chapters. so i studied. time wasn't exactly on my side, and the comfort of my bed kinda took over =P, what could i do, it was 3am in the morning, and i was exhausted from the exams that day. and guess what? i skipped the last 3-4 chapters. one of it was the molecular genetics topic, about DNA and stuff. so i did QT before taking my long awaited rest. i told god while praying

"dear lord, i did not complete studying for bio, and i've barely a clue about the topic, so i pray that you can help me with tmr's bio, i know it's an unreasonable request to ask, but could you not let any questions of the topic i didn't come out? sorry for my laziness. i'll put all my trust in your hands, lord, take control. Amen"

and i slept. the next day, i did my bio, for the whole paper, only one question of all the topics i didn't study came out, and i went "praise the lord!!!" though i didn't shout it out loud in the hall as it was an ongoing examination. here's the best part, i saw the mark allocation. it was 10 marks and it was a DNA question, one i was definitely not good at. i was kinda demoralised. so before i attempted the question, i said a short sweet prayer and once again let god take control. i literally spammed all i could throw, on the paper. and guess what i got from that question? 10/10!!! when i saw the paper, i couldn't believe my eyes, i knew god has stepped in again. i was literallt bouncing in the hall holding my paper, hurdling over chairs and yes, i was kinda mad. but i was overwhelmed with the mighty powers of god. well this is all i have to share about how god has blessed me, it may be just one question, but his presence was definitely felt. pals, god's always there whether we know it or not, and he will step in when we ask. so let's all put our faith in him(: jia you!!!

Hey!I have a testimony to share regarding my third language oral. The previous days before the examination, I had been studying the vocabulary for my french oral. There were around five categories that the oral questions might be from. However, I just chose 2 categories, "Holiday" and "School", to study. I don't know why I chose them, I just did. I studied a little of "Leisure" and for "Food" and "Clothing", I didn't study that much because the vocabulary were all in the textbooks. Before going into the room for the oral examination, I was super nervous and was praying for God to help me with my oral. I really wanted to do well for Him and to pull up my GPA for school grades. So, i went in and the examiner told me to choose my questions. I did as told and, Voilà! For the two questions that I chose, one was "Talk about your school" and the other was "Tell your best friend (the examiner) about the coming december holiday". Amazingly, these two were exactly the topics that I had studied for! I feel that this is really miraculous and could only have been done by God alone, the Almighty God. Perhaps He led me to study those two topics. I am indeed quite satisfied with how I performed in my french oral examination. Thus, I am just so awed that I just want to and have to share this with anyone who is willing to listen. =) THANK GOD AND PRAISE BE TO HIM!!!

On Saturday, we learnt from Jasmine and Dennis how to expect miracles in our lives and last Saturday we learnt that we need to shine for Christ in our mudane - routine life. So this week for fasting, lets combined both together and have faith that as we go through our exams, we'll see God performing MIRACLES in our exams.

Lets have faith and wait in expectation to see how God can really show forth his MIRACLES through our exams be it through the questions being familiar, God giving us supernatural wisdom to attempt the questions.

Once you have a miracle, lets share it around to encourage the rest.

One of the thing that we'll need as we prepare for exams is really God's wisdom so lets pray that during this period of time we'll really experience more of his wisdom. Everytime we get stuck in maths question or science question or whatever, it will be God that will give us that super natural wisdom like how God gave that to Solomon. We will want it too

were awesome.

It showed us what the Great Commission really means!

about how to win your school,
they are thinking how to win nations for Jesus!
Think about the difference!!

We had many chances of conversations
with the various international pastors and leaders.

The time with them, hearing from them,
and getting prayed by them
is really priceless.

We were also touched by how the
Hongkong people hosted us..
They tirelessly traveled with us around,
(you know how troublesome/kiasu Singaporeans
shop, yeah?^^)
wanted to fight to pay for our food..

Thank God for them!

Hahaha ok anyway firstly I really like to thank God for giving me this special opportunity to go for this LC in Hong Kong! God reassured me that he have brought me to this LC for a reason.
I think through this LC one thing is, God very much reminded me of my relationship with him. Through all the Pastor’s and fellow Yhope’s sharing, I’ve realized how important is the relationship with Him and this struck me so hard. What keeps us going on in this long race is really our relationship with Him. Having a strong one, we do not need to depend on the happenings, depend on the situations or depend on other things for joy! Lets work towards a closer relationship with God yeah? I'm just so into it and I can’t wait for the days awaiting for me because I’ll walk this walk with God much differently, with a wider vision, bigger dream for God. The Great Commission belongs to US and though we are young, I believe God can still use us if we allow Him to! I’ve been refreshed, I’ve changed and I thank God I’ve God!

"Well, it would be impossible for me to tell you everything i have learnt or expeienced through this LC all at one go, but i would just share with you guys one key concept i have grasped from this Conference, that is your relationship with God, must be put above all other things.
As a leader, i have been pushing my people to do CG08 all this time, and i have neglected their spiritual health and walk with God.
I always had this wrong concept of our walk with God, that is mainly daily prayer and reading the Word of God. Through this LC, I have learnt that our relationship with God, is not purely based on us praying to him about ministry all the time, or praying for skills like courage or wisdom. These things are merely tools used to serve God. I had been reading the word of God, having a perspective that it is speaking to me about ministry and that alone. All this time, my caregroup has been stuck in an eternal cycle, an endless torture of failures after failures. Our relationship with God was not right!
I have come to realize that an ideal relationship with God is not just about doing prayer and reading the Word of God or even applying what we have learnt. An ideal relationship with God is to pray and seek him everyday, turning to him not only when we face troubles and really treating him as your friend, not your superman. God has sent Jesus to die for us, in the first place, to help us achieve a relationship with God.
Man can be connected to God because Jesus had died not only to cleanse our sins, but also for us to have a living relationship with God, our creator. I have come to realize that no matter how much effort you put into ministry but the moment your peoples' relationship with God isn't right, we lose the first piority in christian life, that is because God cares about us, not what we do. As we grow in our relationship with God, we will love God and his people, giving way to endless victories in Christ.
The Conference has opened up a way and solution to a problem that has never been revealed to me for a long time, and it has strengthened my faith and wisdom in christ. It has revealed my purpose and destiny for Christ. It is seeing and talking to the people so passionate for Christ and the people just willing to leave their families and just die for Christ that has really impacted me and showed me what true christianity is. I have come back with a renewed conviction and insight, something money could never buy. Do go for LC when you have the chance!"

Zyann:
"As Cls, we need to make active decisions. We need to be active in sharing
the gospel. It ain't a special service thing but evangelism is a
lifestyle.
If talking to strangers ain't your culture then you gotta BREAK IT!
We must not let culture determine what we do.
Almost everyone don't share the gospel
because of fear.
However, the fearful you ain't the REAL you.
God didn't create us to be fearful but to be victorious in all that
we do."

Isaac Weijun:
"One thing that I've learn through this conference is regarding the bigger picture of the great commission, whereby my relationship with God and
I'm doing today contributes greatly to it. Constantly outreaching and making disciples is something that I caught greatly,
of which it should be something that I'll strongly apply in regard to the great commission. This saying of "Think Globally, Act Locally" should really be evident in our daily lives.
God can use all of us! No matter how smart we are, where we come from, we're just a vessel whereby God can anoint.
It all starts with our own schools and it starts now."

Winnie:
"I learnt that the GREAT commission must must MUST begin
with a heart of compassion, love and burden. That'll be
the real thing that sustain us through the race.
It doesn't matter who we are but just believe,cause what matters
is who God is! :-)"

Dawn Suwanie:
"The spirit of the Great Commission.
That it is greater than Singapore because God loves all people,
even thosei have not seen before!
The Great Commission is just so amazing, so..WOW!
It's God's vision for the world&it should be ours too."

Bridget:
"This LC just really blew me away!
There were tonnes i learnt, the HOLY Spirit
was dwelling not only in our presence but in every single one of our hearts,
and the yearning for everyone to live for GOD faithfully
was so evident!
One thing i brought back home was the importance OF
and HOW essential it is to have a good and intimate relationship
with God as well as having a heart
filled with nothing but love!
It is only with this that we can keep ourselves motivated
and fired up to serve His people!
And this love we possess is not just privileged to us, but to
all on this earth.
And that means it's not just ur CG, but to anyone you see on the
train, in the bus, and on the streets, of EVERY race!
So dun be selfish with God's love, don't discriminate, spread it ALL!
Rise them up and send them back to their country to win the world!
YOU have a part to play in the GreatCommission!
Starting from now!
2nd to that, i really learnt the power of a simple heart, with pure faith.
Because that's what i see in all the international pastors..
nothing zai nor bombastic but just a simple heart for the LORD!
For it's not the power of man that allows him to live a powerful life,
but a simple heart available for God's service that allows God's power to
be revealed through Him!
So HEY! Stop complicating stuffs, and start serving God with love,
faith, and a simple heart!;)"

"It was another mind-blowing trip for me!
Whenever i had a chat with any of the internationals,
i just felt so at home..
and i always tell the HK people "We're ONE BIG FAMILY.."
Because we're all sharing the same vision and mission
for ONE JESUS.
There's really no place like this..
where we're so intenationally supported by one another!
Wherever country we go in the future, there bound to be
HOPE FAMILY hosting us..
Amazing!

I was reminded so much about
having a simple faith in Jesus..
To Trust and obey and follow God..
We don't need to worry or fear..
cuz we have Jesus.
If we really obey, i mean REALLY...
We'll live our lifes differently for sure.

Kuching Missions Trip(290808-020908)

There are many ways to spend your one week holidays..

6 Centrallites decided to spend a few days of that one week holiday to go on a trip to see how God is moving in another place or they call it a MISSIONS TRIP
This is how it begins at the airport....

First on the list, we had the chance to visit one of the international fellowship groups there...

Guess what are they looking at?

You guessed correctly... They're all looking at a very PRETTY GIRL - XANTHE.. Haha... She had the privilege to lead Praise and Worship there and it was a wonderful experience..... With Christ in the vessel we can smile at the storm.

Not forgetting that Saturday also happended to be their youth service official launch and their opening was super cool.

We also had the chance of joining their Seconday CG and had lots of fun with them...

I honestly wonder Why do the gals get all the attention manz???? =p
PS:That was just a joke.. The girls in our team were better singers, therefore we got them to lead praise and worship. The video will be uploaded soon too..

We experienced many things when we were there.. Not just fun things but also challenging things such as squeezing into a small boat...

Mountain climbing...

Well the journey sure got Xanthe grumpy and she decided to be violent...After that we had the chance of joining a CG in a "kampong" kind of setting...

Its really wonderful to see how God is moving at Kuching and Sri Aman.
These are some other things that we saw:

We all learnt much and here are some testimonies of what hit the people who went:

David:
I believe that one thing I learnt to strongly apply is going back to the heart of worship. When I went on this mission, it really impacted me how even language does not determine our attitude of worship. When we were at the longhouse, we worshipped in Ibanese. Never heard of the language before? Neither had I. However it still did not affect the attitudes of those who did not understand the language (There were Africans, Singaporeans & Kuching people). We still worshipped God as if it was English! I always believe that it all goes back to how we want to worship God, with all our heart, soul and mind.
I really want to encourage all you Centralites out there that no matter in what way you are worshipping, always worship God with a simple heart that says "I will worship You because it's You." There are a 1001 verses that tell us how simple worship really is, are we listening?
Matthew:
I experience tat God is everywhere even in a small village. People in a small village they are leading very simple lives and they are smiling even though they are nt living in a very good environment. They still continue to serve GOD as lyke wad we does and they reali gif their best as we worship GOD in the language tat neither of us learned b4. It juz makes me tinks tat GOD reali perform miracles and everything anywhere and he is juz right beside us to watch over us. Even if we dun understand the language, we jux sing along and it makes me feel tat GOD presence is everywhere. I have learnt and experience the Love and passion from the Hope Kuching people and the villagers in Sri Aman. They reali luv GOD and the passion in them is reali strong as this ish wad we want to have too. I am reali inspired by them as they cant do evax on the streets, they need build frenship wif people to bring them to church while we can jux simply do it in singapore plus we onli jux need take survey forms to ask ppl do it to build frenship. I wan to encourage all the Centralites waste no time in bringing ppl in to know GOD as CG08 is ending, we shld gif our full shot to complete CG08 so tat we can expand God Kingdom and save the lost souls outside to put a smile on GOD face.
Ming Quan:
I have learn how to be more secure in the lord and be more loving/caring to one another.
Xanthe:
The amazing thing about this mountain climbing experience is not only its peaks, but also the unexpected descends. I always thought that the route to the peak of the mountain was a constant ascend, but through the walk, I discovered that the destination is accompanied by a series of ascends and descends. It is a very cliche message that I do not even have to elaborate, you can already derive it on your own, but I really appreciated how God painted it across to me so personally, and so beautifully.
If I cannot even conquer this “mountain”, how can I conquer the world?

Yen Li:
I realised i have learnt a lot thru the trip in Kuching. If there"s one thing i would say in short is- TO HAVE ONE, YOU GOT TO BE ONE. We must take the initiative to develop our relationship with God and ppl. In God"s family we"re never lonely, even with people of different nationality or different cultures. When God"s in the picture, all of us are of one! We can relate and share life with one another as though we know each other for a very long time. There"s the power of God in us- The Common Love! I"m truly inspired by the love the hope kuching ppl have for God. Last but not least, i really appreciate and cherish the brothers and sisters in hope kuching! Thk you!

Daniel:
One thing that hit me really very much is the similarity between Hope Kuching and us and all the things that i saw. .Haha.... I seen it in Ablaze and i also saw it in Hope Kuching. God is really building the youths up in his ways and i am very inspired by how people are contributing to the ministry. Respect all those people very much and enjoy their company too. One main thing i learn through this missions trip is to learn what God is doing over at other places, the best way is to go and see. I saw people serving God with their lives - Climbing mountains to outreach, driving youths to CG, hosting us well and making us feel super loved.

God doesn't just call us to grow his church but he also calls us to shine for him in our results as well. As we fast today, lets fast and pray together that we'll be able to live a life of self-disciplined even more so now as we devote our time to studying hard for Christ.

Passion Prayer Meeting

18th August 2008 - The day where Central gathered together to knock on the doors of heaven together as one district asking God to help us to be people with PASSION....We spent some time praying for a word for each other and to build each other up allowing God to speak to inviduals through us...Quite a number of us had personal word from God and we got ministered on a individual basis.

One word that comes from heaven can change lives.

Other then praying for each other, we had some time to pray together in CGs as well.

Following that we prayed for 7 very specific things together....
Pure heart
Abhor sin
Sacrificial
Selfless
Initiative
Outreaching
Newgrounds

Those are the main things that we prayed for and we really believe in the power of prayer because ladies and gentleman...

WE GOT THE LICENSE THATS REQUIRED TO ORGANIZE JUMP.

PS:The power of prayer is really amazing.

Lets really invite people like crazy to JUMP now that God has given it to us and lets expect GREAT things to happen there. Lets all change our msn pics to JUMP invite..

2.God to touch the new believer that is in our CG this week.
