We had a very special guest joining us today!! Haha and he is none other than Peter Truong! So for all of you who were not able to make it, here's a glimpse of what happened...

The meeting started off with a short video clip on how people from Australia evangelized..


We were all given a set of notes to guide us through the entire day..


We practiced sharing and praying for each other so that we could get the hang of it :)

Peter shared many things like the Bridge diagram and the diagram of a Self-centered life vs. a God-centered life which was really useful for us :)

He cracked jokes occasionally and the crowed started bursting into laughter, look at their faces :)


He also acted out a scene on how it would be like sharing with someone and included some tips too.
















Then we were done with theory...


Off for practical!!


We split up into different venues and groups and started reaching out to people using the useful techniques taught by Peter..

Peter has definitely taught us a lot today! I'm sure all the pointers and tips were really useful in helping us evangelize more effectively. And we really want to affirm him for coming all the way down just to share with us about evangelism :) Thank God for him :)

I learned a lot from the meeting today and felt that it was very helpful for me. It was also very interesting and helped me to learn more about how to share the gospel and made me want to share the good news even more! When we went to evax, it was a great experience and we managed to get some contacts and some of them were quite responsive which was good :) It was quite scary talking to strangers at first but after a while, we knew that God was with us so there was no reason to be scared and everything so yeah. I also thought that there was insufficient time for us to evax as we had to stop after a while but we felt really happy as we shared the good news to some people and we are one step closer to reaching our goal!

1. Time is of the essence
Peter Truong: Do you know what the people are waiting for?
Me (to myself): The bus?
Peter Truong: The people are waiting for us to share with them about the good news, the Gospel.

It struck hard because this is precisely the reason why we even talk about evangelism and outreach. Without people, who or what else needs us so badly? If we’ve ever complained that time is never enough, then time is really running out for people to receive salvation!!! With every minute we spend doing nothing (like stoning and slacking) we could use it to sow a seed in someone. Or give some water to a seed that has already been sown. Every effort counts.

2. Exercising of faith in action
Prayer is really a powerful weapon. Exercising of faith comes with being led fully by the spirit. Which means also keeping in step with God’s Holy Spirit, most directly through prayer. Prayer can work wonders because the power is supplied by God, through us, to people. Hence when speaking with strangers, even in fear, God will lead us to be the most impactful and tactful in our speech. Anyway, doing God’s work without involving God is doing nothing really.
Pray also for God to grow the seed which you have sown.

3. Outreach in knowing the value of your salvation, then others’
Evangelism is a connective work. Notice the chain in how the good news is being passed on from person to person: your friend’s friend > your friend > you > your friend > your friend’s friend and the list goes on. God changed your friend so that God may change you because he/she has shared with you, then God may move to change someone else’s life by your sharing of God with him/her. Evangelism must not stop!

4. Stay connected
After a sharing with a stranger, whether or not she converts or was responsive, exchanging contacts would be great. There is a channel in which you can still reach the person, thus hope for salvation to happen.

5. God is good!!!
How can we ever keep it within ourselves if God is really so good, right? ;) Out of the abundance of God’s everything in our lives, everything flows!

I learned to evangelize and to outreach to many others who do not know Christ yet. It has really helped me to overcome my fears and to have confidence in God when we are out there. It has also taught me how to connect to others and to build a closer relationship with them, inviting them to our services and to give them a chance to experience God’s love. There may be many objections or challenges that we will face but I know that God is always there with us and to persevere on with Him.

I learnt about how could we really evax on people not only people that we see in our schools but actually other people schools and on the streets. I feel that today's lesson was a good lesson as although my unit is a pioneering group but we did not use some of the tactics that Peter showed us like the Chair Diagram was the first time which I have seen for my whole life even though I'm pioneering.

I think that the Chair Diagram is something good to share with people out there who really needs God because they would understand those diagrams better than what we say just from our minds and mouth. Therefore I think diagrams that Peter taught was a good thing to help us to continue evaxing for our 15 schools.

In the beginning, Renting and I were rejected by people a number of times.
The people we shared to were mostly shopkeepers, some of them were willing to listen but some were not.

I observed and listened to how Renting shared, and after a while, I decided to try on my own.

When I saw a group of students coming out from Gramophone, I ran towards them and entered the lift with them.
I was quite nervous as I was alone and the students were much older than me.
I was rejected by them but I still continued on.
After that Renting and I saw this girl sitting alone so we went up to her, she was very friendly and open which made it easy to talk to her.
She explained about her Christian life.

She told us that she stop going for church because she has to work on the weekends so she doesn't really have time for church.
She also wanted to bring her brother which is 14 years old but was afraid that her brother will be noisy and will disrupt the service.

She gave us her contact number so that we could contact her again. I felt happy because we finally had 1 contact after so many rejections but I felt really great after getting the result of working hard.

I feel that evaxing is not really that hard if you know that you want to work towards your goal to fulfilling the great commission.
I was scared at the beginning but now I have overcome my fear.
The purpose of evaxing is to let the people out there to know about God, and let them know how God loves them.

Hello! My name is Chloe and I am from Central B. Today I attended the harvesters meet and I felt really refreshed by all the insights given and have also
gotten rid my fears of evangelism because I've realized that evangelism isn't that hard after all! (:
it taught me how to evangelize more effectively with all the points mentioned.
it is really detailed and catered in a way that its simple and what many people would understand.
Now that I've known all the tips and skills to evangelize, i am more convicted of why am i doing what i am doing!
I will evangelize to the best of my capabilities and bring my unit to greater heights! (:
